How to export points

The program allows to export information to the other programs and files:

How to copy the points and put it on the Clipboard

To copy all selected points, follow these steps:

  1. Create some areas 'Clip or 'Rectangle' around points.
  2. To select these areas, use the button Select Area.
  3. Click the button Copy Points  or select menu item <Data><Copy Selected>.

To copy only points with current color, follow these steps:

  1. Create some areas 'Clip or 'Rectangle' around points.
  2. To select these areas, use the button Select Area.
  3. Select current color.
  4. Click right button on  area. Popup menu will appear.
  5. Select item <Copy selected ... points>.

The Clipboard will contain data in text format as table X, Y, Z. You can paste it to Excel page or add points to series of points.

 

How to save points to text file

To save plot in 'txt' format as ASCII  table, follow these steps:

  1. Create some areas 'Clip or 'Rectangle' around points.
  2. To select these areas, use the button Select Area.
  3. Click the button Save Points  or select menu item <Data><Save Points As>.
  4. The dialog "Save file" will appear. Select the file with extension 'TXT'.
  5. The dialog "Save the points to text file" will appear.
  6. Select text information to write.
  7. Use 'File preview' window to control.

You can use FindGraph  or Excel to read points saved.

 

How to save points to XML format

To save plot in XML format, follow these steps:

  1. Create some areas 'Clip or 'Rectangle' around points.
  2. To select these areas, use the button Select Area.
  3. Click the button Save Points  or select menu item <Data><Save Points As>.
  4. The dialog "Save file" will appear. Select the file with extension 'XML'.
  5. The dialog "Save the points to XML file" will appear.
  6. Select text information to save.

Additionally to points, selected areas, the functions of approximation and the commentary will be saved.  Template file 'findgraph.dtd' is used.
